Background
The online business had to be completely replaced. Their existing data was to be migrated to a new platform that would enable new products to be sold quickly and efficiently in the future. The store is now able to react quickly to the needs of the market. In addition to optimising the performance of the entire shop, the mobile conversion rate is expected to increase. Even with products from very specific areas, customers are using more and more mobile devices to shop. The Findologic Experience
In close cooperation withthe e-commerce agency, Agency best it AG the challenge: In addition to project management, experts from CX and UX, solution architects and developers worked for the Calumet Photographic shop. After an analysis of the existing software, a comprehensive new e-commerce landscape was developed - new tools, new functions and a dynamic back and front end with a completely new user experience are the result. The modern new architecture is based on Shopware 6 in the Shopware Enterprise Cloud and offers a full multichannel setup.
They have chosen Storyblok as a Content management system, which fills Calumet's own magazine and all other content pages with information and advice for customers. The product detail pages and listings are expanded with content from the CMS. Editors are also able to
For personalised recommendations, trbo a recommendation engine is integrated. This tracks the products viewed by the users, and based on the data, suitable products are displayed in a slider. Additionally, the product images are shown in 360-degree views in order to be able to offer the customer an optimal product presentation.
As a newsletter platform was already in advance emarsys in action. Registrations and cancellations for the Calumet newsletter are managed and synchronized via the shop system, so the data status is always optimally maintained. To facilitate the work of customer support, an interface was created between the shop system and the Freshdesk ticket system. The payment area is also comprehensive: Adyen and PayPal are connected as payment service providers, and the customer can use Credit Plus for credit financing.
Impact
The new Shopware 6 Platform meets all user requirements of a modern online shop. In addition to intuitive usability, the focus is on comprehensive guidance through the range, advice from experts and extensive product presentation.
In addition to features such as a customised Assisted Suggest supports the Tab-Solution Help users browse and find products as well as knowledgeable content.
